Avoiding alcohol will also help prevent gout attacks from coming on in the future. Foods you can eat include those high in vitamin C, such as citrus, strawberries, melons, papayas, tomatoes, broccoli and proteins like white meat. Eat whatever food you choose in moderation, so you don’t overdo it with either type of food in your diet.
