When you have been given a diagnosis of arthritis, no matter which type it is, you might be feeling like there is nothing in the world which can ease your pain. That isn’t the case though, as there are a lot of exercises you can do and ways to improve your health, which will in turn improve your symptoms of arthritis.
The most common way to relieve pain is by doing exercises for lower back pain or even osteoarthritis exercises. Both were created by experts in the field who know what joint pain feels like, but also how those joints can be worked to eliminate some pain. The exercises can’t get rid of arthritis in your body, but they can help eliminate some swelling, which will make the pain lessen too.
Some osteoarthritis knee exercises will not only help your knee joints, but they can help you get fit overall. Since swimming is an excellent activity that doesn’t put a lot of weight on your joints, it is a great osteoarthritis exercise that works your entire body. Especially if you can swim in warm water, at your own pace on a regular basis, the pain will become manageable.
When you jog for exercise, lower back pain may start right away because it is a high impact exercise. However, doing stretching exercises like yoga or pilates might be a better choice. There won’t be the strain on your joints, and there won’t be the pain after the fact either.
Besides exercising, what you eat can also help reduce the pain of arthritis. Food that are low in purines will produce less uric acid in the body. The lower your uric acid levels, the less joint pain you will have. Foods that you should include more of in your diet are ones rich in vitamins C & D. Some of these foods include dairy products, citrus, strawberries, papaya, melons and broccoli. Limit how much organ meta you eat and be careful with seafood, as they are sometimes high in purines.
